Kalcium 6.6.2 - The Release News

Kalcium 6.6.2 contains more than 100 new functions and improvements. Almost half of these additional features are directly attributable to feedback from you, our customers, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude!

We have focused on improving the user experience for everyone, whether you are a casual user, a power user, or an administrator. The entry display and the editor have been optimized to speed up the loading and editing of larger entries, while many new tooltips and improved system messages make it easier to understand the processes. A context-sensitive help will also be available in the next edition.

Common tasks or frequently used functions have been made easily accessible. The project overview is more customizable and shows more status information per task and file. Administrators can now preconfigure options for all roles in one place in the basic configuration. The configuration screens have been revised and now also offer the option of minimizing all areas by default, which significantly increases clarity.

You can now select the language model to be used in Kalcium's AI Connector. Support for Azure OpenAI and AI profiles is also planned for the next release, allowing you to configure various AI settings for different scenarios and apply or adapt them centrally. Another useful feature is the ability to have multiple termbase repositories per tenant, for example one for Kalcium, one for Trados Terminology, and one for PoolParty. The concept map in the desktop applications and plug-ins has been newly implemented using modern technology. In the back-end, Elasticsearch has been updated to the latest version.

Kalcium Contentflow now supports WorldServer and comes with a new file manager and new bundling options. You can now "extend" projects over a longer period of time and bundle together small orders to exceed minimum word counts. The request portal supports reference files and dependent language combinations, which increases efficiency.

Other important points:

You can now also use the power of the automation task for one-time execution without having to save it, keeping the task list clear. The Quickterm search has been enhanced with a quick selection function for termbases. In addition, discussion tasks can be assigned automatically, which, like the many other new functions, also contributes to greater efficiency.
